PostSubject: The Ranks of the West   The Ranks of the West I_icon_minitimeMon Mar 23, 2015 9:22 am

Ranks are special roles in the game players can fill, they provide additional abilities, techniques or powers to characters but also bring a lot of responsibility. It is a ranks obligation to create rp for those around them and set the example of proper rp!

Ranks are generaly obtained via tryout; a tryout involves an admin giving the interested players a topic to roleplay, generaly with several conditions or objectives. Best rp that sticks closest to the conditions wins and gets the rank.

The ranks are as follows.

Protector of Earth:

The Protector of Earth is the closest thing to a 'god' on Earth, living high up on a floating plateau from which he/she/it can look over the entire world. The Protector of Earths sole obligation is to ensure the survival of planet Earth, though most good aligned Protectors will endeavor to ensure the survival of Earths species as well.  This rank comes with a wide variaty of abilities such as; the ability to spy on the people of Earth, Unlock Hidden Potential, creating punching bags, make weighted clothing, letting people keep their bodies when the die and even the ability to transport anywhere on Earth. On rare occasion admins might allow for a Protector of Earth to make powerful relics and spread them across the world for potential heroes to find.

Sage of Earth:

The Sage of Earth is an assistant of sorts to the Protector, though unlike the Protector the Sage is far more likely to directly interact with inhabitants of Earth, this is mostly to see who is worthy of meeting the Protector and to help to keep the Protector informed of what is happening in the world. Unlike most ranks the Sage of Earth rank generaly gets ICly appointed by the Protector, though in the case of a close tryout for Protector, Admins might hand out the Sage of Earth rank to the runner up. The Sage of Earth has several unique abilities at his disposal such as the ability to create a radar to track down unique artifacts, grow Genisis Beans (These beans are rumored in legend to have been used to cultivate life itself on Earth), create weighted clothing and let people keep their bodies when they die.

Demonlord:

Few things can be as intimidating as a lord of demons, this rank gains great powers, augmenting the already vast might of a Daemonic Lesser Deity even further. They are the rulers of Hell and care only to bring suffering and demise in their own unique way. Some are clever manipulators and some are tactless brutes. A Demonlords powers include the ability to: revive the dead, teleport out of and in to the afterlife, enslaving others, create an amulet that can rip open a portal to a prison dimension, spy on people in the universe, unlock peoples hidden potential, restore someones youth, create punching bags for students and even the ability to reincarnate the dead.

Daemon General:

The Daemon General is one of two assistants of the Demonlord and is ICly appointed by the Demonlord. A Daemon General has several abilities at its disposal that make it stronger then a normal Daemonic Lesser Deity but far less then the Demonlord itself. These abilities are: teleportation, revival of the dead and teaching the "Unleash Hate" buff skill. While a Daemon General will strive to aid the Demonlord when he or she can, they are still evil and are more then likely to try and usurp the Demonlord if given half the chance.

Daemon Commander:

The Daemon Commander has the same role and abilities as the Daemon General, the sole exception being that instead of having access to the ability Unleash Hate, Demon commanders have access to the "Chaotic Power" buff skill. Like the Daemon General they also have the ability to teach it and much like the Daemon General they too are more then likely to endeavor usurping the Demonlord if given half the chance.

Ramen Sage:

The Ramen Sage is the elder Sunai'l and leader of planet Ramen. They generaly have a great understanding of the unique abilities of their people and have abilities that rival the Protector of Earth in many ways. The Ramen Sage will always endeavor to protect planet Ramen and its people though they might be less friendly to outsiders. The abilities the Ramen Sage gets access to are: spying on people in the universe, unlocking peoples hidden potential and letting people keep their body when they die. As the Ramen Sage is the leader of the Sunai'l people they can also implement taxes on their world and place bounties on people they consider threats.

Guardian Lesser Deity of the South/East/West/North

These Lesser Deities take on the mantle of Guardian and help the Supreme Guardian Deity to keep an eye on the universe. Each of these Guardians has the ability to restore peoples body, their life of the dead, the ability to teleport across the universe, spy on people in the universe, create punching bags and teach two unique moves to their students. The two unique moves depend on which cardinal direction the Guardian watches over, additionaly, each guardian has their own unique planet in a realm only they and the Supreme Guardian Deity can reach.

  • The southern guardian teaches the ability to use Body Expand and the Dark Fire Wave attack known as Enkumei.
  • The Eastern guardian teaches the ability to use Ki burst and AlphaBlast, a powerful blast attack.
  • The Western guardian teaches the ability Control Anger and Genocidebarrage, a wild ki attack that attacks everyone around the user.
  • The northern guardian teaches the Surge ability and the SoulNova attack, a powerful ki attack that uses the power of everyone on the same world to launch a devastating blast.

The Supreme Guardian Deity:

The divine alterego of the Demonlord, the Supreme Guardian Deity watches over the entirety of the universe and is potentially the most demanding rank of all of them. Unlike the Demonlord the Supreme Guardian Deity is bound by a lot of restrictions and obligations. These restrictions and obligations include: no direct meddling with people in the Living Realm, provide rp for all the dead souls in Heaven, judge souls in Limbo if no other rank is under you to do so and appoint Guardian Lesser Deities.

The Supreme Guardian Deity comes with a vast amount of unique powers and abilities such as: creating punching bags for students, giving dead people their bodies, reincarnating the souls of the dead, giving people the ability to access the state of "Exalt"; a level of tranquility that normaly only Divine Lesser Deities can reach. Additionaly they get the ability to restore peoples lives without risk to themselves, the ability to restore peoples youth, the ability to spy on people in the universe and access to the unique Supreme Guardian planet which in a seperate dimension from even the guardian planets.

Shimo Henko Lord:

The lord of the proud Shimo Henko, this rank counts as a leadership rank which means it needs to be earned ICly by gaining the support of the majority of living Shimo Henko. This may be gained through diplomacy, intimidation or extermination. The lord of the Shimo Henko gains access to a destructive attack "Necro Sphere" and, due to being ruler of planet Cryos, also has the ability to set and collect taxes and place bounties.

Ruler of Verdusa:

The Verdu are a warrior race and their ruler is generaly considered the strongest of them all. As a leadership rank majority support from the living Verdu has to be earned through either diplomacy, intimidation or extermination. The Ruler of Verdusa gains access to the unique ki attack "Encore Finisher" and, due to being the leader of planet Verdusa, also has the ability to set and collect taxes and place bounties.

President:

The leader of planet Earth. Unlike the Protector of Earth, the president is elected by the population and can persue his or her own agenda as they see fit. Presidency is for life or until usurped which can happen if the people rebel against their ruler. President is a leadership rank and thus requires the majority of the Earth population to support the candidate, this can be achieved through either diplomacy, intimadation or extermination. The President of Earth gains access to a unique bunker with several pieces of equipment in it, including a spacesuit which lets the user breathe in space as long as it's equiped.  As the ruler of Earth they also have the ability to set and collect taxes, as wel as the ability to place bounties on those who they deem fit.

Drunken Master:

Generaly portrayed as a martial artist fallen from fame, this rank acts much like the Hermit ranks and is obtained through tryout. The rank can have students and has access to several unique abilities: creating weights, drunken boxing, corkscrew beam and they can also brew their own beer.

Android Commander:

The Android Commander is the leader of the Android forces. It counts as a leadership rank and as such needs to be earned ICly by obtaining the majority support, be it through diplomacy, intimidation or extermination. As the Androids don't have their own homeworld the ability to set taxes is null and void for the Android Commander, however, it does get two unique abilities: snare, which traps unfortunate targets in a net to prevent escape and track, which provides a great deal of information that the space station provides for the Android Commander about anyone relatively strong in the universe. This information includes names and locations of people that the Android Commander would have otherwise not known about and targets that they have never met.

Master of the Mountain Hermit:

One of two Hermit ranks exclusive to Earth races at the start of a wipe, this hermit has studied the ways of the Mountain and believes in a solid defense. In the famous phrase "immovable object vs unstoppable force" this Hermit represents the immovable object in everyway. The abilities the Mountain Hermit gets at his disposal are: creating weights, creating punching bags, teach splitform and teach the conquerorswave. The Hermit himself also gains the ability to use the body expand technique, becoming even more mountainous. The body expand technique cannot be taught and students will only be able to obtain this ability from the Mountain Hermit by replacing their master when he or she dies.

Afterlife Magistrate:

The judge. The Afterlife Magistrate is the first person you see when you die, this being takes note of all the actions you've done in your life and then either sentences you to the eternal depths of Hell or the peaceful tranquility of Heaven. To ensure that even the most problematic souls can be dealt with the Magistrate has several unique abilites at their disposal: judge teleport allows them to teleport themselves or any target near them to Hell, Heaven or Limbo without consent of the target, there is no escaping judgement. This ability counts as a ki attack as far as interruptions go. In addition, they have the ability to spy on people and can reward particularly pleasing souls with a Soul Fruit which only they can grow.

Master of the River Hermit:

One of two Hermit ranks exclusive to Earth races at the start of a wipe, this hermit has studied the ways of the River and believes in a constant overwhelming force. In the phrase immovable object vs unstoppable force this Hermit represents the unstoppable force entirely. The abilities at the River Hermits disposal are: creating weights, creating punching bags, teaching the blinding NovaBlaze technique, the elusive splitform technique and devastating Exterminationray ki attack. The River Hermit itself gets a unique ability called Energy Immersion which only they can use,the only way for a student of the River Hermit to obtain this skill is by taking the Hermits place when he or she passes on.

Ruler of Axro:

The ruler of planet Axro, leader of the always changing and diverse Fae. This rank qualifies as a leadership rank which means it needs to be earned ICly by obtaining the majority support of the Fae people, be it through diplomacy, intimidation or extermination. The Ruler of Axro gains the ability to create punchingbags for themselves and their followers (pbag rules apply!) aswel as access to a uniquely devastating seed that drains the lifeforce out of an entire planet and produces a single piece of fruit that increases the power of whoever eats it. In addition to this the Ruler of Axro also gets the ability to set and collect taxes, as wel as the ability to place bounties.

Justicar:

The personal right hand of the Supreme Guardian Deity. This role is exclusively open to demigods that live in Heaven and can be ICly appointed by the Supreme Guardian Deity, or obtained via a tryout when there is no Supreme Guardian Deity. The Justicar stands above the Guardian Lesser Deities and has the ability to appoint them in the absence of a Supreme Guardian Deity. Justicars gain the ability to heal wounds, materialize weighted clothing and teleport between Earth and Heaven. In addition to these the Justicar also has the ability to place bounties and visit the Guardian Lesser Deity planets though they do not have access to the Supreme Guardian Deity planet.

Arbiter:

The personal right hand of the Demonlord. This role is exclusively open to Daemonspawn Verdu and Demi Daemons and can be ICly appointed by the Demonlord or obtained via a tryout when there is no Demonlord. The Arbiter stands above the Daemon General and Commander and has the ability to appoint them in the absence of a Demonlord. They also gain the ability to heal wounds, materialize weighted clothing and teleport between dimensions. Unlike the Justicars version of teleport, the Arbiter can teleport to Hell, Verdusa and the Abyssal Star. Arbiters also have the ability to place bounties.
